Multi-client study, World plastics supply 2005-2015

Pardos Marketing has completed a study on plastics supply in the world, with perspectives to 2015. This study is of interest to all companies active in the plastics industry, whether they are suppliers, converters, equipment manufacturers or users of plastics. This study is unique and different.

The purpose of the study is to provide a detailed analysis of all plastics plants in the world, by country, sites, all producers, large and small, and affiliations, expansion and development projects, broad consumption figures and general plastics outlook and forecasts. As an illustration, here are the summary consumption figures for the main polymers in the world in 2005.

The launching of this study was prompted by the need for a concise work combining detailed analysis and broad vision, in order to:

  •  Put together all the key figures readily available, in the world, Europe, USA, Japan, new developing countries, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Eurasia, Africa. The study objective is to provide an overall and organized view from the fragmented figures and information that come in daily, to see the forest from the trees.
  • Provide detailed lists of all the plastics producers in the world and their announced expansion and new plant projects, in order to assess the supply shifts likely to occur in the next ten years.
  • Review all the recent mergers and acquisitions and those under way, as a background for further analysis of strategies, showing the main producers’ moves and restructurations worldwide.
  • Give some general consumption figures and outlook, to be later detailed. Provide a global reflection on the future of the plastics industry worldwide, and forecast a vision.

Interest for the study

This study is of interest to all companies active in the plastics industry, whether they are suppliers, converters, equipment manufacturers or users of plastics.

The long time industrialized areas, Western Europe, USA, Japan, are facing the many emerging producing areas, fast to become, in the medium run, also important consumers of plastics.

The study objectives are to evaluate these trends and to judge to what extent they may be accomplished harmoniously, or whether they represent a serious increase in the severity of the competition facing the long established plastics industries in Europe, the US and Japan.

What will the world plastics industry be ten years from now?

The study is also conceived so that it can be updated at all times, as a framework that can be enriched and take in all new developments.

The ambition of this study is to be the most complete, comprehensive, all embracing, and with consistency so that it can be regularly updated.

DON’T MISS THIS UNIQUE STUDY

It gives the whole story and more for just 450 €, 10% of the usual price for this type of study, and it is more comprehensive than most.

This price is meant to be directly affordable by a company department or by a small company.

The key idea of the study is to put together all the essentials and the details, in one convenient book. It can be a great help as a very alive textbook for new young staff in any plastics companies, to see the world at a glance.
The study responds to the changing ways of getting information, that needs data, and that is increasingly flooded with daily information. The information exists, but it is everywhere, the study purpose is to better see the forest from the trees.

Ask the author for budget for special presentations, electronic versions, CDs, planned updates, and order form.

Further study programs planned by Pardos Marketing

Two other studies, in 2008, one study on plastics consumption and major trends, qualitative and quantitative, with a detailed analysis of the major plastics applications, and a study on the converting industry structure.

The second study on plastics demand/ consumption, will present detailed figures and comments on major end-using industries, or, in decreasing volume of plastics demand, packaging, building construction, electrical industry in broad definition, cars and other vehicles, consumer goods, agriculture, medical applications, other industries when they can be identified with plastics consumption.

The third study will focus on the structure of the converting industries, and strategies of the major converters worldwide, in packaging, automotive and electrical industries.

These three studies, on supply, consumption, and converting industries worldwide, will continue to be regularly updated.
